Our Most Environmentally Friendly Carpet Yet

Posted on - 8th November 2021

As a nation, the UK is starting to become more and more environmentally friendly. From supermarkets ditching the plastic on their foods right the way around to people seeking environmentally friendly alternatives for within their home.

Sedna Carpets

The most environmentally friendly carpet within Europe. The Sedna collection. So just what makes them so environmentally friendly?
Sedna carpets are made using Econyl nylon yarn. This yarn has been created using recycled waste material such as old carpets and abandoned fishing nets collected from the bottom of the sea.
Abandoned fishing nets account for over 1 tenth of the world's marine pollution. Collecting these nets to create carpets helps remove this from our seas. Reducing the number of unnecessary marine deaths each year.
While the team here at Toons can't go deep-sea diving to help retrieve the abandoned fishing nets, we can help by raising awareness amongst our customers. Who can then in turn show their support with a recycled net carpet?

Recycled Carpets

When we think of recycled products, many people think of dull colours and a plastic feeling. However, the Sedna collection of carpets are quite the opposite.
Here at Toons, we stock a selection of the Sedna range. Available in an avast array of colours, from your pastels, your brights and down to your deeper and darker colours
Sedna has worked wonders to ensure that their complete range of carpets is as soft as they possibly can. Leaving you with the soft touch carpet that we all love in our homes.
We know that not every carpet is right for all spaces. So we have included in the range a collection of different piles, ensuring that you can get the right carpet no matter which room of your home you are in.
