The Pantone Colour of the Year 2021- ‘Ultimate Gray’ and ‘Illuminating’!

For two decades now, Pantone’s ‘Color of the Year’ has influenced purchasing decisions and product development within many industries, including home furnishings and design!  

It’s likely then, that Pantone’s decision will influence some of the home furnishing options that you see on the market this coming year! 

For 2021, Pantone has chosen a colour combination for their ‘Color of the Year’. ‘Illuminating’, a bright yellow, and ‘Ultimate Gray’, a soft grey. Pantone refers to their choice as “two independent colours that highlight how different elements come together to support one another”. 

This choice not only acts as a lovely analogy for the events of 2020, it also creates a beautiful colour combination, that you can easily embrace for some 2021 home decor inspiration!
