Bedrooms tend to be one of the rooms where we need the most storage, aside from kitchens. Particularly if you don't have a spare room to hide all the extra belongings in. However, we find it one of the most difficult rooms to fit in as much storage as many of us need. Whether you have the room to yourself, you share the room or even the children's room, you will always want more space.

Wardrobes

One of the biggest storage items in your bedroom is often a wardrobe. While they are available in many different sizes and configurations, ensuring that they both fit in the space and suit your style is always the difficult part.
Here at Toons Furnishers, we have a selection of ready to go wardrobes, such as the Truro range, that have multiple options. From two doors with base drawers to three doors without drawers.
We also offer a number of collections that are personalisable such as the Dimension 5 range. You can choose the configuration, colour and size of your wardrobes. Allowing you to make the most of your space.
We find that the best types of wardrobes to make the most out of your space are those that include additional shelves or drawers, rather than a traditional simple wardrobe with a rail. So if storage is your issue, make the most of added extras.

Drawers

Second to wardrobes, the most common storage in the bedroom is drawers. Bedside drawers, tall thin drawers, large drawers in a number of combinations and even deeper drawers, there are many to choose from.
As with the wardrobes, you want to ensure that whichever style of drawers you opt for meets your needs. For example, tall thin drawers are going to hold fewer winter jumpers than larger or deeper drawers. However, if they are to fill a thinner space, work with what you can get to fit. Many of our wardrobes have drawers to match, meaning you can configure your room around a particular style too.

Blanket Boxes

Blanket boxes, ottomans, toy chests, they have a range of names. Typically they are large boxes with a lift-up lid and one large open compartment. Hence them being flexible for a number of different uses. They can make a great addition to the storage in any room, providing you have the floor space. As they are not tall pieces of furniture you do not need to have them against a wall and can sit nicely at the end of the bed. Or under a window if you have a lower window ledge.

Ottoman Beds

These space-saving storage beds have taken the world by storm since their introduction and certainly bypassed standard divans in sales since. Standard divan beds typically have a drawer or two, or a sliding door to a large cavern under the bed. Meaning that space can be lost or you can struggle to retrieve your belongings.
Ottoman beds allow you to lift the mattress and the slats to allow you access to the complete under bed storage compartment. To make it easier to lift they are typically on gas struts. Almost making the mattress weightless to lift.
This hidden storage allows you to neatly put belongings away without the need for unsightly under bed boxes. We have a great range of leather and fabric ottoman beds available in our showroom.
