While it may still be the heart of summer, it never hurts to plan ahead for the next season. While we can't redecorate for every season, a neutral room can be switched up by simply swapping out your accessories! So how are we styling up your autumn rooms?

Autumnal Colours

When we think of autumn, we tend to think of the colours of the trees. The burnt orange, the rust colours, deep reds, faded reds and purples. All the warming colours of the great outdoors. So why do we want to bring them inside?
The truth is, they are warming colours. So as the outside gets colder (and wetter) we look at finding ways to make the inside of our home that little bit warmer. Sometimes it's with a throw, other times it's a cushion, but ultimately, it's with colour.

Our Favourite Autumn Cushions

When we consider the change in the weather, we look to make the inside of our homes as comfortable as possible. And what better way to do that than to add an abundance of cushions to every room?
Too many cushions on the sofa? Great! Cushions of all varieties on the bed? Perfect! Cushions appearing in the corner on the landing? Why not!
We have a great range of cushions both in our showroom and available online. Here are just a few of our firm autumnal favourites:
First up we have the Mongolian cushion in orange. This wild-haired cushion not only adds colour, but also some incredible texture! We adore it!
Up next is a touch of nature. Our Malini Nutty Cushion is the perfect choice for lovers of nature! Featuring a beautiful red squirrel and his nut.

All About The Throws

Are they accessories for decoration purposes? Or are they just a practical item to have at home? Thows can change the feel of a room for sure.
For our rusty colours, we have an excellent throw. First up is the Serena Rust Throw. This faux mohair throw is wonderfully thick, perfect for curling up on the sofa, or even just throwing over your legs. For more purples and forest feels we have the Malini Balmoral Throw. Perfect for a touch of style.
Finally, to bring that evergreen feeling inside, as a nice contrast to our reds and oranges, we have the Serena throw in jade, a nice stunning deep green.

Occasional Chairs

Sometimes, we just have to throw caution to the wind and get that chair we love, in the autumnal colour, and just run with it. At least, we think you'll want to once you see them!
First up we have the Steph Tub Chair in the stunning Pumpkin shade (the navy isnt to be sniffed at either).

A Rug For You

Finally, how can you change up a room, with the most subtle difference? A new rug in Tamworth, that's how!
Changing out your rug to match the season is a nice easy way to have a big impact on the room with minimal effort. Plus they store well to come back out next year.
Rugs can offer lighter carpets a level of protection from wet and muddy feet and paws on lighter coloured carpets. So here's a couple of our favourites:
The Kelmin Stripe in red offers an array of warming tones and the tassels just add to the style of any room. Available in a range of sizes, including a runner, it's perfect for any space.
The Kashqai rug (available in a range of colours and designs) certainly adds a flair of vibrance to any space.
Finally, for that purple addition, we love the HEX rug in purple. This stunning colour, while very autumnal, would suit any season when surrounded by the right decor. It's certainly one of our favourites.
