Opening The Curtains In 2020

With the introduction of blackout blinds, the demand for more natural light and the admiration for clean lines and less clutter, we thought we were going to see the end of curtains. Little did we know that they would be back for 2020! And here at Toons we have a great selection to choose from.

Hanging some fresh curtains against a neutral coloured wall has a bigger impact than a coloured wall with neutral curtains, so why not give it a go. Add a rug to match and you’ve transformed the whole room with minimal effort. The Benefit of Curtains

There are so many forgotten benefits of having curtains, and while yes some of them come from having blinds too, you can’t beat a good pair of curtains.
• Frame the window – not everyone likes to see the window frame, some like something a little softer to frame the window. Making curtains a great decoration.
• Preserve heat – some windows aren’t great at keeping in the heat, and there’s nothing worse than a draught in winter, by hanging curtains the draught gets caught.
• Light control – yes you can do this with blinds, but the softness of curtains allows you to alter how much light breaks through. Blackout curtains are also great, especially for those who work nights!
• Soundproofing! – Living on a busy road means you’ll get the sound of traffic filtering through the windows. Pop up a pair of thick curtains and the noise is reduced.
