The nights have drawn in, we now find ourselves leaving the house in the dark, and returning after a long day at work, and once again it's dark. The dark evenings bring with them the cold weather. So what do we have on offer to help you make your home feel warm, no matter how cool it is outside?

Cushions For Comfort

While we use cushions all year round just to add a touch of comfort or style to our chairs and sofas, they have an added benefit during the winter. Warmth. Adding extra cushions to your furniture increases the level of comfort, so snuggling down into them can have you feeling warmer.
When it comes to winter cushions, look for more textures than you would in the summer. These textures increase the warmth that they offer. Here at Toons, we offer a selection of different vestures, in a variety of colours to suit your home.
Woven Texture - The woven texture of these cushions means that on the surface they do not feel as soft as some of our alternatives, however, they retain heat really well, increasing how warm you are when you are snuggled into them. Our favourite colour for this time of year is the Rust.
Textured Faux Fur - Faux fur is a popular choice for textured cushions. However, for many, a more subtle fur is important, particularly if there are pets in the home. That's why our Essence range is so popular. Our favourite autumnal and winter colour is the Sage.
Velvet - One of the nations favourite materials is velvet. From crushed velvet beds to velvet sofas, and even down to just velvet cushions. Our range of Fleur cushions from Malini are flower-shaped for style and made from velvet for comfort and warmth. Our favourite from the collection is Rosewood.
Tibetan Lambswool - The ultimate in textured cushions is the Tibetan Lambswool range from Milani. Soft long wool on one side allows you to snuggle up and feel cosey. Our favourite from the range is the orange, very seasonal!

Throws can add a splash of colour, a touch of texture and a whole dose of warmth. So why not add a throw or two to your sofa!
Serena - The Serena throw is made from thick faux mohair fur, offering an extra-warm, yet soft throw. Available in a range of colours to suit any decor, but our favourite is the Jade.
Rapture - The Rapture throw is a soft as bunnies, that's because it's made from faux rabbit fur on one side and silk on the other. Luxury, warmth and stunning.
Quartz - The Quartz throw offers a similar texture and appearance to the woven textured cushions mentioned above. Making them a great complementary pair. Our favourite is the navy.
