Create Positive Energy in your Home

We’re all spending more time at home than ever before, and it’s certainly not easy! But if you turn your home into a space that you love, and that promotes positive feelings and energy, you might just find yourself loving the extra time you get to spend there.

Our top tips will help you turn your home into a restorative, positive space that you’ll love!

Declutter and keep things simple

Studies have shown that decluttering your home can reduce anxiety, aid concentration and improve sleep. A simple, decluttered space can help to induce feelings of calm and contentment.

Having a decluttered, clean and tidy space to relax in will help your mind to relax too. If you’re working from home then doing so in a clean, clear space will aid your mind in concentrating on your work.

Consider applying this to your decor choices too, particularly in rooms where you sleep or work, consider keeping your decor simple and uncluttered. Choose neutral tones and remove clashing colours and busy prints.

Consider house plants

The benefits of houseplants really are endless, from reducing stress and aiding sleep, to helping to clean the air in your home, and even improving concentration!

Besides these benefits, houseplants can look beautiful too! Houseplants add an element of the outdoors to your home, which can help to promote feelings of peace and tranquility, while enabling you to feel connected with nature- even when you have to stay indoors!

Bring in natural light and fresh air

Maximise the natural light inside your home, consider moving any furniture that blocks light from entering a room, and taking down drapes or blinds that can minimise the amount of light from windows.

Adding mirrors on opposing walls to windows can also improve the flow of natural light through a room, and help your home to feel lighter and brighter! Opening windows wherever possible will also allow a nice flow of fresh air throughout your home, and keep the indoor air in your home feeling fresh and clean!

Add calming scents

We all know how much scents can affect our moods and thoughts, but have you considered incorporating this idea within your home?

Add scented candles and diffusers to your home, boasting calming scents and smells that you enjoy, and trigger positive memories and emotions.
