Introducing bright colours into the colour schemes in your home can feel a little bit intimidating. But decorating with bright colours doesn’t have to be so scary!

Read on for our top tips for introducing bright colours into your home decor…

Decide on your colours

The first step is to decide on the colour, or colours, you’ll be using. If you want to incorporate multiple colours, it’s best to pick a couple of colours from the same area of the colour wheel, to ensure that they do not clash.

However, using multiple bright colours can be a bit overwhelming if you're a colour novice! If you’re introducing some bright colour to your decor for the first time, why not start by simply choosing a statement colour you love, then you can begin to add pops of it throughout your home!

Pick a statement piece

A really great way to begin injecting colour into your decor is by working around a statement piece in a bold colour you love! Start with a statement sofa, chair or bed, and work extra pops of colour in around this piece!

Consider wallpaper and curtains

Introducing wallpaper or curtains in a statement colour can really brighten up a room. Why not try starting with a feature wall, with wallpaper in your chosen colour. Alternatively, particularly if your room boasts statement windows or glass doors, why not try bright, statement curtains instead!

Add accents

Once you’ve introduced a statement piece, whether that’s a piece of furniture, curtains or wallpaper, you can begin to add accents, a small rug, as well as cushions and throws in your statement colour are excellent options. Scattering these accents throughout the room will tie in your statement colour, and bring the whole room together!
