Brighten up your Home Décor in Time for Summer

While we’re all still unsure as to whether our summer holidays will go ahead this year, why not embrace some summer vibes through your home decor instead?

Bring the outdoors inside

Take inspiration from the outdoors for your summer decor, think fresh flowers and houseplants, but also consider beach themed accessories. If you can’t visit the beach, why not bring the beach to you with nautical themed accessories and colours! Sea shells can make beautiful home accessories, while rustic, nautical decor can really bring a lovely summery feel to your home.

Consider your outdoor space an extension of your home

A great way to embrace summer in your home is to consider the flow from your outdoor space through to your indoor space. Open up heavy curtains and blinds, and if your home boats patio doors consider keeping them open on warm days, so that you and your family move freely indoors and out, and really make the most of your outdoor space!

Additionally, give as much consideration to your outdoor decor and you do indoors, consider investing in some beautiful outdoor furniture, adding some outdoor lighting and manicuring your garden. Create an outdoor space that you really love to spend time in!

Keep things light

Consider packing away and heavy soft furnishings for the summer, those heavy throws, fur cushions and dark, heavy curtains and perfect for creating a cosy feel during the winter months, but light, linen style textures are often a better choice for summer.

Try zesty citrus colours!

Bright, citrus colours are just perfect for summer! Add pops of orange, yellow and lime green to your decor for a bright, summery feel!
